Antique photograph, prior to 1879, of "Old Slac" or Joe Cain (1832-1904) dressed as his Mardi Gras fictional character, Chickasaw "Chief Slacabamorinico" with feathered headdress and native attire. His role as Slacabamorinico ("slaka-BAM orin-i-CO") is noted on his gravestone in Church Street Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama.
