Jodi Gordon (born February 1, 1985[1]) in Mackay, Queensland, is an Australian actress and model.

[edit] Early Life

From the age of 8, her family moved to various locations down the coast from Mackay, eventually settling in Sydney when she was 11.[1]

She played netball from the age of 12 to 16.[1]

At the age of 13, Gordon won a modeling competition and gained a contract with Vivien's Modeling Agency. Her modeling lead her to cities and countries such as Japan, London and Milan, where she lived for five months.[1] Whilst modeling in London for two months she took the opportunity to travel through Europe recreationally.[1]. In 2004, whilst preparing to move to New York, Gordon successfully auditioned for the role of Martha MacKenzie in the long-running Australian soap opera Home & Away, a character which she still plays to this day and earned her a Most Popular New Female Logie award in 2006.[2]

Her immediate family consist of her mother, father and older brother Ben.[1] Her father is from New Zealand.[3]

On March 4, 2007 her boyfriend of two years, Chris Burkhardt passed away from acute myeloid leukemia at the age of 23.
