[edit] Move to Fire Pump
I suggest this article be eliminated, and the contents transferrred to the fire pump artlcee. I don't know how to do this. Fireproeng 17:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Agree. This is not a big enough topic by itself to warrant a full article, move to Fire pump and put a Redirect from here to Fire pump. --Zaf(t) 05:46, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
NO! A Jockey Pump and a Fire Pump serve totally different puropses. It would be misleading and confusing to put them both in the same section. It may be appropriate to add the Jockey Pump article as a paragraph in an article discussing the components of a Fire Sprinkler Control Valve Assembly. If there is one. I havent found it yet. There is a picture of a Fire Sprinkler Control Valve Assembly in the Fire Sprinkler System article, however the Jockey Pump is not visible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.151.10 (talk) 22:26, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
This article could be moved into the fire pump category so that the readers can refer in one page all the details they are looking for.Ashok Kumar Burra 09:45, 23 April 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bvsashok (talk • contribs)
- Agree The first paragraph of Jockey pump already duplicates a paragraph in Fire pump - and there is no much more information that could be put into either the U.S. or the India sections: a jockey pump is the same whichever continent it's in! The regulatory regime may be different, but that applies to the whole fire sprinkler system not just one part of it. Just a suggestion, but maybe the Fire pump and Jockey pump articles should both by merged into Fire sprinkler system ? -- MightyWarrior (talk) 14:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Jockey pumps are also used in water distribution system pump stations, separate from fire applications. 206.211.193.194 (talk) 17:21, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
