[edit] Removed parts
I have just removed the following explanation, not belonging on a disambiguation page (see also MoS:DP)
- A job sequence involves
- Setup time, including the infrastructure and materials
- Value added, including service delivery
- Take-down time, including disposition and disposal
- Additional costs for a job include the Non-recurring engineering (NRE)
That info might be at Job sequence, but I don't see a reason to have it here. Kusma (討論) 02:59, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] jobs
Jobs redirects here, since it's the most obvious, but this is probably not a perfect redirect. Suggestions? --Christopherlin 07:23, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] proposed job (role) entry
In trying to update an article about a type of job, I am really not satisfied with the interaction between the pages for job, occupation, and the relevant concepts.
job, in the sense of a role or set of responsibilities for an entity (usually a person)
Currently, the word job in this sense is everywhere in wikipedia, but on the disambiguation page, the only relevant item is Employment, and that only applies for paid jobs where you are in an employee relationship.
job (role) would encompass:
- Employment
- Occupation (economic)
- Vocation
- Profession
- Volunteer
as well as the temporary duties - "My job this week is to update Wikipedia entries." I think there is more here than just a dictionary definition, so that it warrants its own entry... which can be linked to as a universal node for all the types of job roles described in Wikipedia. --Marcinjeske (talk) 00:03, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
