Jobra High School was established in year 1987 in Cuttack. It has developed to be one of the best government schools in Orissa.^{[citation needed]}

Of late the government schools in India rarely receive enough aid to invest in infrastructure, but Jobra School is an exception.^{[citation needed]} Many individuals have contributed generously to the development of the school.^{[citation needed]}
