Jobabo is a municipality and city in the Las Tunas Province of Cuba. It is located in the southern part of the province, 34 km (21 mi) south of Victoria de Las Tunas, the provincial capital.
Jobabo is named from the taino word jobabol, meaning "a place where many jobo trees grow".[3]

In 2004, the municipality of Jobabo had a population of 49,403.[2] With a total area of 884 km² (341.3 sq mi),[1] it has a population density of 55.9/km² (144.8/sq mi).
