Joaquim Gomes

Joaquim Gomes (born December 23, 1980, in Luanda) is an Angolan professional basketball player. He has played in professionally in Germany and the Netherlands and currently plays for 1 De Agosto in Angola.
A 203 cm (6'8") center-power forward, Gomes was a stand out at Valparaiso University in Indiana, United States, where he played collegiately from 2000 to 2004. He also played for his country's national team in the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
