Joanne Mein
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Flt. Lt. Joanne Mein, is the RAAF Roulettes' first female member and the world's first woman to fly in a military precision flying team.
Joanne made her public debut over Brisbane on 6 August 1999 in position two, directly behind Squadron Commander Gareth "Chuck" Neilsen. An even more memorable moment for Joe is when she flew a CT4 at East Sale but forgot to replace the oil dipstick after checking the oil level in the Aircraft engine. Consequently, when she taxied back in to the lines, her CT4 was covered with oil down the port side.
