Joanne Linville (born January 15, 1928, Bakersfield, California) is an American film and television actress whose screen credits include The Goddess, Gable and Lombard, and A Star Is Born.
Linville's many television credits include appearances in The Twilight Zone, Hawaii Five-O, Dr. Kildare, Ben Casey, Kojak, I Spy, Bonanza, Felony Squad, Gunsmoke, L.A. Law, Columbo, and Charlie's Angels.
She portrayed Hedda Hopper in the television movie James Dean and the Female Romulan Commander in the Star Trek episode, "The Enterprise Incident".

Linville was married to actor/director Mark Rydell from 1962 until their divorce in 1979; they have two children, actors Amy Rydell and Christopher Rydell.
