Joanne Cuddihy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joanne Cuddihy (born May 11, 1984, Dublin) is an Irish sprint athlete. She is the current Irish 400m outdoor women's record holder, having recorded a time of 50.73 seconds at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics in Osaka, Japan. This makes her the first Irish woman to have run under 51 seconds at this distance, and although she did not advance to the final, indicates a real possibility of reaching the final of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing next year.

She finished 8th in the 400m final at the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg.

Joanne is a medical student in University College Dublin.
