Joan Lippincott

Joan Lippincott is an American concert organist and former head of the organ department at Westminster Choir College. She studied at Westminster, and then at The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia; where she studied with Alexander McCurdy. She served for several years as the principal organist of Princeton University. She has made several recordings and is famous for her teachings of rhythm and touch in organ music, particularly that of Bach.^{[citation needed]} Her playing is distinguished by rhythmic intensity, a supple technical control, and emotional intensity.^{[citation needed]}
