Joan Ferrante

Joan Ferrante (born 1955) is a professor at Northern Kentucky University. She holds a PhD from the University of Cincinnati. She is best known as the author of several popular sociology textbook, among them the Sociology: A Global Perspective. In her textbooks she concentrates on undergraduate students, and her goal is to convey an understanding of concepts and methods in the field of sociology.
