Joan Chandler

Joan Chandler (24 August 1923 - 11 May 1979), real name Joan Cheeseman, was an actress who starred in a several movies during the 1940s and 50s, most notably Rope (with James Stewart), Night and Day (with Cary Grant) and Humoresque (with Joan Crawford). She was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, and died prematurely at the age of 55 New York. She guest starred in a few television programmes during the fifties, such as Studio One and Starlight Theatre. Her last acting role was in 1960 in the movie Too Soon to Love with Jack Nicholson. She was married twice, first to David McKay, then to Dr Charles C Hogan; both marriages ended in divorce.
