[edit] Nickname

Where does this "Muhammad Ali of tennis" comes from ?! Why ?

I'll admit that there is a resemblance, but isn't this comparison a bit premature and possibly ethincally delicate... KRay 11:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kray (talkcontribs)

No it's not ethnically delicate. Players really do call him that, he does look like Muhammad Ali very much, and they've been showing it on the program so many times and talking about it. Just don't put the nickname in the infobox lol. ~ GoldenGoose100 (talk) 11:16, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wilfried

Does anybody know, why his parents picked "Wilfried" as his second name? As far as I know it is an oldfashioned German name. 85.178.12.98 (talk) 12:52, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Incorrect reference to seeding?

In the 2008 sections it says "6th seeded Tsonga". This seems to be incorrect to me. He has never been ranked that high.

[edit] More on injuries?

I know nothing about this guy other than the great tennis he's played in Australia this year. The ESPN2 commentators have referred to the injuries that have troubled him until recently, but I see nothing about that in the article. Does anyone have the skinny on this? I think it would be worth adding. Jbening (talk) 01:11, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Definitely it would. I suck at finding new articles to site, but I will help if I can. He's 22 now, but it is just starting to get into good rhythm to rise in the rankings. It may be hard to find a good article about his injuries. ~ GoldenGoose100 (talk) 01:20, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

You can see about his injuries on the french article of Wikipédia and here "victime d'une hernie discale (novembre 2004 à mars 2005). Cette même année sera un calvaire avec des blessures au dos, à l'épaule et aux abdominaux (d'octobre 2006 à février 2007). Devant tous ces déboires, les médecins ne lui garantissent pas de pouvoir encore jouer au tennis à un niveau professionnel mais Tsonga n'attend pas d'être totalement guéri pour s'aligner sur les tournois. Pour tenter d'exister sur le circuit, il est forcé d'écumer le circuit parallèle depuis 2001 (Challengers et Futures)." bobodu81

[edit] Serve like Roddick

Somebody put this comment in the article (sic!), I am moving it here: (As he is only 3 years younger than Roddick... is this likely?) It is regarding the following statement: As a child, he and fellow tennis player Gaël Monfils would spend hours trying to develop a serve just like Andy Roddick's.

Tsonga is not cousin to Nzogbia, because Nzogbia is french of congolese parentage(DR CONGO)and Tsonga has mixed heritage having a french mother and a congolese father(republique of Congo). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.147.13.93 (talk) 16:48, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
