[edit] Redirect of Travelling in The Simpsons
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Travelling in The Simpsons, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Travelling in The Simpsons is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Travelling in The Simpsons, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Here's the AfD you were asking Anthony.bradbury about: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/University Mall (Chapel Hill, North Carolina). ··coelacan 18:20, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: not so great
No problem! The addition looks fine now. :) BTW, I happen to agree with you--it would be nice simply to be able to vote during a deletion vote without offering a "detailed explanation", but then again I guess offering these explanations helps to develop consensus and support for a yay/nay decision, other than simply counting votes (which I think that WP doesn't like to do). Anyway, you're welcome! Regards Rahzel (talk) 13:48, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Clue Crew section in Jeopardy! article
Incidentally, the Jeopardy! broadcast history article already has a section on the Clue Crew. I think that's the more appropriate place for it, don't you? Robert K S 03:31, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't know that. My mistake. --Jnelson09 03:32, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the broadcast history article is a little more hidden now since the broadcast history section was removed altogether from the main article. Originally, all that material was in the main article, and then it was exported with a {{main}} link as a remnant, and now the only links to it are in the lead and the footer template. Robert K S 03:41, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- I just figured that it should be mentioned in the main article, because it's referenced in a footnote. --Jnelson09 03:43, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Haw River Town Museum
You placed a notice on my talk page about plagiarism in Haw River Town Museum. The source for this brief article is the website linked there but I'm not finding any sentences copied exactly from that website. Could you share the specifics of your concerns? While the grammar there was horrible and the page desperately needed some wikification (thanks for doing that) but I'm having problems understanding your plagiarism concerns. --Rtphokie (talk) 13:23, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cross Creek Mall
Hi, I noticed that you have written a comment on my Talk page regarding use of English on the Cross Creek Mall article. Sorry, but I fail to see what change(s) I made that would prompt this. Rufus843 (talk) 02:52, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] 5 o clock Charlie
I completely edited the entire article for grammar and fluidity. You can see the change from [1] to [2]. Please stop undoing my edits. If you persist I will be required to take the matter to an admin. Thanks. Falcofire (talk) 17:27, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pizza Hut
I revamped Pizza Hut article, rewrote the section, all of the information that was duplicated was deleted, the rest was placed after the /* Global locations */ section. I removed the extraneous headers to make the article more readable, as per the {{too long}} tag that was there.
[edit] Patty and Selma
Do you have a source for your recent edit? BTW, Kucinich is long out ;) Ctjf83Talk 06:22, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:AIV
Hiya - I've removed your report of User:203.87.127.1 - the last vandalism was a couple of days ago, and one of the key provisions of AIV is that the vandalism is recent and the vandal is currently active - this is even more relevant with IPs, as the person using the IP tomorrow may well not be the person using it two days ago. Thanks. GBT/C 21:08, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- I take your point, but indefinite blocks (or, indeed, blocks longer than a couple of days) of IPs are a bad idea - in any event, they seem to pop up ever month or so, make a couple of edits, then disappear for a bit - a block wouldn't necessarily do any good, therefore. I think this is just one of those things that we have to live with. GBT/C 21:15, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please stop with the non-sense on my talk page

[edit] Claims of vandalism against Sottolacqua
Hi, Sottolacqua recently requested editor assistance in helping to understand the vandalism statements you have posted on their page. Looking through their edit history, I am finding it hard to see any vandalism taking place. Please could you provide links to support your claims so that this issue can be cleared up. Many thanks Howie ☎ 02:11, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your fast reply - I missed that edit entirely. I have suggested that if Sottolacqua has a concern regarding your warnings, that they should speak to you and also look over their edits before saving a page. Howie ☎ 02:17, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Having a quick look at that edit, I am slightly inclined to agree that it appears un-encyclopaedic. A list of phrases said by someone is ok, as long as they are particularly notable, but a list that long makes me think that hardly every single one (in just one show!) is notable. It almost makes it appear that the entire script the host said was made up of notable phrases. Also, the list states that other hosts would say something different - proving that the original phrase was not integral to the show. I would either narrow it down to two or three catchphrases, or remove it entirely. Howie ☎ 02:24, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your assistance. Sottolacqua (talk) 02:29, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- My opinion is that the list of phrases was too long, taking up more than its fair share of space in the article. Even though unsourced, I do not think this information was controversial, and it appears to be accurate, so I would suggest trimming the list down to a manageable size. Can the both of you agree to that? If not, head over to third opinion and find a neutral editor to help you come to an agreement. Cheers. Jehochman Talk 02:45, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please consider joining the working group for the WMF DC Chapter
Please consider joining the working group for the WMF DC chapter. Since we have a very active and very community oriented DC/MD/VA area group of Wikipedians, it only makes sense to develop it as a chapter, especially given the recent changes to the Board of Trustees structure, giving chapters more of a vote. Hopefully we will be either the first or the second officially recognized US Chapter (WMF Pennsylvania is pending as well), and hopefully our efforts will benefit WMF Penn as well. Remember, it's a working group, and this is a wiki, so feel free to offer changes, make bold changes to the group, and discuss on the talk page! I hope to see you there, as well as Wikimeetup DC 4 if you're attending. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 16:47, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pricing Games
With all due respect, and acknowledgement of your intent to add info to the pricing game articles, I don't believe that unsourced message board posts by fans qualifies as a source for wikipedia. Anyone on earth could goto that board and say that anyone created any pricing game. At least if the post even explained where the info comes from or cited or source or, as sometimes occurs, was a post about an interview someone did with show staff, it might have some verifiable source, but as it is, it's just a fan board post and holds little proof of accuracy...
