My name is Jeffrey Murphy and I am a Canadian chemistry student, recently graduated from Simon Fraser University with an Honours Bachelor of Science. I am currently attending graduate school at the University of British Columbia, having done research in catalysis and polymers, but now working on electrochemistry and DNA.

Through my co-op experiences and univeristy work I have gained experience in particular in general chemistry, polymers, fuel cells, and organic chemistry. I have a few scientific articles bearing my name, and to which I have contributed in some small way:

Highly Fluorinated Comb-Shaped Copolymers as Proton Exchange Membranes (PEMs): Improving PEM properties through rational design, T. B. Norsten, M. D. Guiver, J. Murphy, T. Astill, T. Navessin, S. Holdcroft, B. L. Frankamp, V. M. Rotello, J. Ding, Adv. Funct. Mater. 16(14), 1814 – 1822 (2006).

Fluorenyl-containing sulfonated poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone)s (SPFEEKK) for fuel cell applications, Baijun Liu, Dae-Sik Kim, Jeffrey Murphy, Gilles P. Robertson, Michael D. Guiver , Serguei Mikhailenko, Serge Kaliaguine, Yi-Ming Sun, Ying-Ling Liu, Juin-Yih Lai, J. Membr. Sci. 280, 54 – 64 (2006).

From enolates to anthraquinones, David Bailey, Jeffrey N. Murphy, and Vance E. Williams, Can. J. Chem. 84(4). 659-666 (2006).

I am still relatively new in contributing to the Wikipedia. Thus far, I have edited:
