[edit] Repost of Genesis Communications Network

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Genesis Communications Network, by Pablothegreat85, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Genesis Communications Network was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Genesis Communications Network, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Genesis Communications Network itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 01:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] John Batchelor

I don't understand what your spin on JB is all about. Why does "unsuccessful" require such a verbose elaboration? patsw 01:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Nighttime Price Is Right

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article The Nighttime Price Is Right, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. —Twigboy 14:57, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Freddie Dalton Thompson

Saw your edit summary comment - read the LA Times article that is cited. His birth name appears to have been Freddie, and he changed it in 1967 - whether officially or not is unknown at present. Tvoz |talk 03:58, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Crook & Chase

A tag has been placed on Crook & Chase requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] WIBC/WNDE

Just curious, since I didn't live here at the time: I assume that WIBC's ESPN Radio affiliation from 1994-96 was limited to GameNight? Thanks, Lambertman (talk) 17:27, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

You know, my bad. If I'd looked harder I would've have seen you weren't the one that put that info in. Don't mind me. :) Lambertman (talk) 18:28, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Robin Hood: Men In Tights

Thank you for your contribution to Robin Hood: Men In Tights, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the Sandbox to get started. Thank you. Eaglestorm (talk) 15:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ti-Cats vs Bills

Do you have a source for the claim that Hamilton is the only team to have defeated an NFL team? I seem to recall reading of other Canadian—American football matches. Thanks. DoubleBlue (Talk) 07:06, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Nice. Thanks for the info. DoubleBlue (Talk) 07:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Music of Your Life leaving Jones

I discovered this situation on a radio web site I go to which, being mostly message boards, is unacceptable as a source for this site. Do you have any valid sources and could you properly reference them in the various articles where you added this?Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:22, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. There were differing opinions on the site I go to on how or even whether Music of Your Life will continue. I did a brief search but found nothing. I feel guilty adding material to articles I don't have a source for, so I'm trying not to do it any more. Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I checked in to see if anything had been added regarding the past weekend's developments. Obviously the article is outdated now and needs fixing, but I don't know where to get the information.

Actually, I do, but that source is not acceptable on this site.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:18, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NFL in Toronto

Hey, I just want to thank you for you're work on the National Football League in Toronto article. The article is really starting to take shape after all the work we've done. I just wanted to say that although you have added some great stuff, it would be better if they had sources. Contact me by writing on my talk page if you need help making citations or have anything else you would like to say or recommend.Joesixpac (talk) 02:37, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wilfork fines

My main objection to the original form was that basically it seemed to be overwritten (too much of an emphasis on the fines). I still don't think it's particularly notable, but there's no negative connotations here, so I won't delete it. Samer (talk) 20:42, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it's hard to tell I'm a Pats fan looking at my contrib list. :) Seriously, though, if you had wanted to leave all of the info in (including the totals), I would have probably had to add that some of the fines were considered excessive, and that the NFL had actually reduced at least one of them. Samer (talk) 21:31, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 2008 NFL season

The NFL is from what I understand, trying to avoid a conflict with the Republican National Convention by either moving the Opening Kickoff game to September 5th, or starting the season a week later (on September 11th, coincidentally the seventh anniversary of the attacks). Additionally, the league is trying to pacify NBC, which has the rights to the 2008 Summer Olympics telecasts from Beijing as in that period, they would usually have three pre-season games telecast on Sunday nights, plus some of their affiliates, which have rights to pre-season games (The Giants on WNBC and the Chicago Bears on WMAQ-TV in Chicago as examples) are having no choice but to move those games to other stations during that periopd. The NFL is actively looking at all options even as we speak, hence the word "tenative" in all items regarding the scheduling. [edit] Your edit to Canadian Football League#Broadcasting

Do you have a reference to confirm the change in rights for terrestrial radio for the Grey Cup? I couldn't find anything that backs up your change to "The Fan Radio Network". -Bdoserror (talk) 22:48, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] List of characters on The Phil Hendrie Show

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article List of characters on The Phil Hendrie Show, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] WGDJ

The callsign meaning previously added to WGDJ may be correct but no sources have been provided. You are encouraged to readd this information once sufficent references are provided.--Rtphokie (talk) 01:08, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] David Paterson

Please discuss at Talk:David Paterson. You weren't the first person with this idea! Consensus is that we want the article accurate at a time of high visibility. Thanks! - Colfer2 (talk) 12:57, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Minion

Hi there. I reverted this edit to Minion (typeface) because I really don't think extracting and using bundled fonts is legit, and we really shouldn't be involved in contributory infringement. Although I remember reading a thread in Typophile a couple of years ago that stated fonts bundled in Adobe software aren't subject to specific licensing, I don't think this should be in the article in the absence of a reliable source saying "yes, it's OK to do this". [edit] The Price is Right in 1986

Hi. I reverted one of your edits to the show article. The Tom Kennedy version was still on the air, though in reruns, when the CBS prime-time specials were on in the summer of 1986. Best, JTRH (talk) 12:26, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jamestown Jets

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Ros0709 (talk) 21:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion of Peter Tilden

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Peter Tilden, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rtphokie (talk) 12:37, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
