[edit] J. Michael Steele

Hi Michael, I don't think we've met on Wikipedia before. I noticed this article about you, and I'm not sure what to do with it. Part of it is a bit unencyclopedic, a bit of fun to be sure but not something that belongs in article space, and part of it, such as your claim to have invented the concept of shattering in mathematics and statistics, could be useful.

Would you mind if I submit this to WikiProject Mathematics for assessment? At least there there is a chance that someone may be able to evaluate the significance of your work. --Tony Sidaway
