I am currently a candidate for a PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of California, San Diego, working with Daniel T O'Connor in the School of Medicine. My research involves identifying and characterizing single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with human disease, focusing on the genes involved in synthesis, secretion and signalling of adrenaline.
I have a M.S. in Bioinformatics from UCSD and a B.S. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Fluent in Spanish and English, competent in French and Italian.
