Jlauret7, part of your edit to Gaperon was a clear copyright violation of http://www.teddingtoncheese.co.uk/acatalog/de392.htm I've removed that section and advise you to read the section http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:COPY#Using_copyrighted_work_from_others RosinDebow (talk) 15:21, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi Jlauret7, I think you intended to post to my talk page but posted to User_talk:CTSWyneken instead (CTSWyneken happens to be the first person who edited my talk page which may be confusing). I agree with you that more historical information would be useful in the Gaperon article. You are welcome to contribute more to the article, but please be aware that if you're going to use copyrighted material you must rephrase it instead of using verbatim passages as I found in your edit (I counted 5 sentences that were verbatim copies). Also, please be sure to cite your sources so that others can verify the accuracy of the contribution. Finally, a useful hint: in order to sign your entries on Talk pages, use four tildes (~) in a row, which will be replaced with your user info and a timestamp. "I finally found your reply quite strong and not very encouraging to new contributing users." Mea culpa. I'm sorry my initial explanation for my edit had a harsh tone - I overreacted because the edit appeared to me to be a copyright violation, which may lead to an article being deleted. However, you will find more often than not that people will not take the time to explain their edits to someone else's work. I took the time just now to read Wikipedia:Assume_good_faith and will tread more carefully in the future with new contributors. If you have any questions about Wikipedia, I'd be glad to try to answer them. By the way, it's more convenient to reply to a discussion on the same talk page as where it started, even if it's your own talk page. RosinDebow (talk) 00:48, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
