[edit] Your recent report to WP:AIV
Thank you for making a report about 65.242.176.194 (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. -- Satori Son 13:42, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Many thanks - I have added a final warning in relation to the most recent vandalism. Will wait and see if it occurs again. JKW111 05:02, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

- Great - and don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help at all with anything! -- Satori Son 19:55, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I see what you mean now. Believe me, I didn't like reverting it. I actually support a zero (or near zero) tolerance on vandalism.--Just James T/C 11:08, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Madonna's Release Date
Hello, How are you? I was talking to my friend Randy on Myspace and he works at a record store and he told me today that he called Warner Music Friday and they told him it may be June before the record will drop... He said something about Madonna is changing a few things that she was unsatisfied with, but if you want to revert it back to April that is fine until we get something official... I hope, however, it comes out earlier, but it seems they keep pushing it back further and further... Do you think it may be Warners way of punishing Madonna since she is leaving their company? Randy, however, was right on the release of COADF and American Life... but I will definitely let you know more if I here it or if I see it on the Warner site... Thank you so much for keeping the new release updated with information. Jdcrackers (talk) 02:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

- Do you know anything about the 25th Anniversary Box Set? I have been searching for that, but it seems like it has been scratched... I am thinking that after this record is released, that Warner probably will do something like that to make as much money off Madonna as possible. Honestly, I think Live Nation is going to give her more artistic freedom and let her pick and choose which singles she wants to release. I have been collecting her singles since I was a kid, and noticed the last few records or so, it has taken them forever to release the singles for example, way after they make it radio play and I think in the USA that has caused her singles not to climb so high on the charts... what do you think? - Hi there, thank you for the info and I agree with you about the remix album... I think that Warner may release a big box set around Christmas next year... But you know, I would definitely love to have all of Madonna's videos some of my favourite videos weren't on the first two compilations.. Have you heard anything of a new video release compilation? Also I would love to get the BA Tour and The Reinvention Tour on DVD too... Also I have heard some other people speak about a June release for the new record.. seems like it keeps getting pushed back further... but maybe she will surprise us and it may come out earlier..Thanks again for the info Jdcrackers (talk) 23:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah, I remember the Blonde Ambition Tour on Laser Disc in the early 90's, but I guess where she released "Truth Or Dare" they decided not to release the whole concert..I think it would have sold very well.. Wasn't the Reinvention Tour shot for film in Lisbon, Portugal? I remember NBC or some company was supposed to show it, but the deal didn't go through and then they released "I'm going to tell you a Secret".. I think each tour Madonna does gets better and better.. I honestly believe it's worth every penny.. And I love the fact that she did release two live albums.. sometimes I like the live songs better than the original.. I love the live version of "Paradise" from the Confessions Tour.. What is your favourite Madonna CD?Jdcrackers (talk) 23:52, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hawthorn
Hey JKW, as much as I share your love of the mighty Hawks, unfortunately we are not allowed to use non-free images in userboxes. This is why none of the other AFL teams and other sporting teams have logos in their userboxes. Fair use images are only allowed to be used under certain circumstances in the article mainspace, so I had to revert your addition of the logo to the Hawthorn userbox. Sorry about that. Cheers, Sarah 17:37, 18 November 2007 (UTC)~
Francis Bacon
Welcome to you. I make a suggestion to you : these people want the NM's version to be the only valuable part of the history. But, if someone present the version of Bray and Jardine, quoting their book, it will be easier to present Bacon's homosexuality and other people couldn't censure or disdain that, because they are scholars. I can't do that : in France, it is very hard to found these books. But I think it is a good idea.
Limitorder (talk) 11:50, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
So, what scholars such as Jardine, Steward, Bray, Rowse... have written is that Bacon was homosexual because there is good reason to think that he was. We need a paragraph to present their point of view, as well as Arion's point of view about his heterosexuality. That's why the biography of Jardine and Steward is interesting. I hope somebody can read it and present what these SCHOLARS have written about Bacon's homosexuality without the judgement of value of some people.

[edit] Madonna's New CD
Hey there, so it is confirmed that the CD will have 13 tracks? hmmm, I am wondering if it will come out sooner than expected what do you think? Since she is doing the photo shoot soon maybe the record is finished and she is saying it will be late so no tracks will get released on the net... Have you heard anything about a Christmas Single? Honestly, I think this record is going to rank up there with Like a Prayer 1989 and Ray of Light 1998 ... Seems like one great record pops out each decade, I mean they are all great, but those 2 seem to be all time fan favourites. Jdcrackers (talk) 13:03, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
I support you to make the article about Bacon's homosexuality neutral.

[edit] Madonna's forthcoming album
<< Hi DMWN - thanks for your interest in the article on Madonna's forthcoming studio album. Unfortunately, as you will know, fansites and blogs are generally not sufficient sources for information to be included in Wikipedia. While there will always be speculation and a degree of uncertainty about future events, where such websites do not explain the source of the information they carry, reliance of such information for Wikipedia should be kept at a minimum. The current article on the album already includes reference to some of the info recently circulating, such as suggested album title, but it is far too speculative to include that as a name in the info box. If unsure on future changes, you should check the WP guidelines on Wikipedia:verifiability and discuss any significant issues on the article talk page. Thanks. JKW111 (talk) 00:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC) >>
Both Billboard.com and MTV.com have, today, confirmed that the title of the album is Licorice.
Now if you don't mind, I am going to rename the article once more and will cite the sources. - --DMWN (talk) 00:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re:Madonna's forthcoming album
Hi there - didn't mean to trouble you with the revert. Yes, some of the info in there may be questionable but I removed that one sentence you added because I felt that Timbaland's song didn't really have anything to do with Madonna's album. The only similarity would be the title - and "Give It to Me" is only a "supposed" name that Madonna may or may not want. Just didn't think it fit in the scope of the article. - eo (talk) 18:48, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Madonna Discography
Hi there, when I click on her discography new studio album it takes me to Liqourice the candy and not the studio album... I know she isn't naming the record that, but wonder why it is taking us there? Is there a way I can change this so it will take us back to the new studio album page? Also, have you heard anything about "4 minutes to Save the World"? Thanks so much Jdcrackers (talk) 14:20, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Paul, I noticed under Madonna's info box her list of career options, the director was taken out... I wasn't sure why, and didn't want to add it back until I found out from you. She did direct "Filth and Wisdom" didn't she? Have you heard anything else on this movie? I can't wait to see it. I bet her movies are going to be awesome!! I am so excited about it. I went to Madge-Tribe and have seen many people saying that album may have the title as the single. What do you think? Jdcrackers (talk) 19:02, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
-
- Hi Paul, have you heard anything more about the release of the new record? On the discography it says April 22, 2008, but according to Liz R. she said it wouldn't be released that late... I hope it drops in Feb. or March more like March I am guessing... I am getting excited, I wonder what the title of the CD will be... ThanksJdcrackers (talk) 19:45, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Studio Albums
Hi Paul, Do you consider 'I'm Breathless' a studio album? Since there is a soundtrack to Dick Tracy I was curious...I get confused with everyone saying it's either a soundtrack or a studio album... I was just curious as to what your take on the matter was... Thanks againJdcrackers (talk) 19:52, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
-
- Hi Paul, I agree with you there, I was 16 when it came out and True Blue was the first Madonna record I bought, but I remember them saying that "I'm Breathless" is the 5th studio album when it was released in May 1990. Also, Dick Tracy does have a soundtrack too right? I remember a few months ago people on here were just up in arms about it... When I was in the UK I bought the Music CD with American Pie on it... I thought that was cool... I am so excited about her new CD... I can't wait to here the name of it... And when it's coming out, etc... Do you think Madonna will tour in 2008 or 2009? I hope you had a Merry ChristmasJdcrackers (talk) 21:18, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hard Candy and various things'n'stuff
Howdy.... I noticed you recent reverts... in case you didn't know just wanted to give you a heads-up about anything "Austin Cookins" related. Apparently this dude is a hoax or some artist trying to hype himself via Wikipedia. The article about him was deleted and he places his name into a bunch of R&B-related articles, including Hard Candy. So if you see it, revert it and place warnings, as the user has now started moving on to various IP addresses (grrrr). Thanks! - eo (talk) 14:10, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Three-revert rule
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to thehave made several reverts you have made recently on 4 Minutes (Madonna song). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Stifle (talk) 13:25, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- I think you may have left a comment on my page in error. I have not reverted the article "4 Minutes" three times within 24 hours. JKW111 (talk) 13:37, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed you have not, but you have been involved in reverting it there. I was merely bringing the limitation to your attention. Stifle (talk) 13:39, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. Making any reverts does not amount to an edit war, which you suggest I have engaged in. Please clarify if you believe this to be the case. JKW111 (talk) 13:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Will do. Stifle (talk) 13:46, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm still not clear why you placed the warning in the first place. There was an apparent edit war going on in that article, but my edits during that time were completely unrelated to the disputed content. If you look at my user page, I am aware of editing policies, that why if I make any change (other than correcting formatting or reverting vandalism etc) I always explain why, and if any change I make is challenged, I go to discussion rather than making any further edits. I really think that the threat of blocking me because of the 3-revert rule and edit wars was out of line. I have noticed that you have given similar warnings to a number of editors, and this has sometimes been done without an apparent understanding of why reversions are being made. I would like to think that this type of thing does not happen to people who are genuinely trying to improve the standard of articles, acting in good faith, and within the policies. JKW111 (talk) 16:06, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- The three-revert rule applies irrespective of the reason for your edits (except for some very narrow exceptions. I am not saying people aren't acting in good faith, but revert warring, even with the best intentions, isn't helpful. Stifle (talk) 19:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- That still doesn't answer my question. Do you place this warning, accusing people of edit warring, on every user who makes a single revert? This is a serious allegation. Please list the specific recent reverts of mine that you read that led you to place this warning on my talk page. JKW111 (talk) 23:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

- I give the {{uw-3rr}} warning to any user who may need to be advised of the three-revert rule. I left it on your talk page due to the following reverts or apparent reverts on 4 Minutes (Madonna song):
- Having made two reverts in half an hour, I wished to bring the 3RR to your attention. Nothing more. With all due respect, you are taking this a little too seriously and if you feel so strongly about having a warning on your talk page, you are welcome to remove it. Stifle (talk) 16:07, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Basically, if you are going to continue to issue warnings to people that haven't done anything wrong, I strongly suggest you use a more appropriate template. Thanks. JKW111 (talk) 07:16, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] re: Madonna's forthcoming tour
I tend to agree with you here... no official announcement has been made about it, although I kinda remember Madonna saying somewhere that she "wanted to tour" for this album.... of course this doesn't mean anything yet until it's confirmed. I say it can be at least nominated to get a consensus on it. - eo (talk) 11:49, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
