[edit] License tagging for Image:Passport ukr.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Passport ukr.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:08, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please use edit summaries
Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be very low:
- Edit summary usage for Jjhcap99: 12% for major edits and 8% for minor edits. Based on the last 150 major and 60 minor edits in the article namespace.
Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 15:11, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Ditto. This is not optional, it is a basic requirement of editing. Grant | Talk 18:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] China
Also, please stop changing links to China to Republic of China. RoC is a name which is now only associated with Taiwan, whereas "China" covers all periods and regimes. This is misleading and against WP:POV, just as it would be to change all references to China to "Peoples' Republic of China". Grant | Talk 18:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Republic of China
A possible vandal reverted your addition of ROC to List of sovereign states in 2007. I did not revert it because it is not obviously vandalism. But I thought I'd let you know so that you can put it back.
As to whether ROC is a sovereign state, you have offered supporting evidence - that other states have recognized it - but what does ROC itself say about itself? Does it declare itself a sovereign state? I think not, I think that they still claim that they are part of China; they just don't want to be governed by the Communists. Just something to think about. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Republic of China. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.Angelo De La Paz (talk) 18:15, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] ROCVisafree.png
Hello Jjhcap99: as a Taiwanese I do appreciate your work on ROCVisafree.png. Anyway, I would like to bother you to modify it: Cuba gives ROC passport holders 30-day visa on arrival. Further, Macao gives ROC passport holders 30-day visa-free access and do not need extra travel documents. Please update the ROCVisafree.png as appropriate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.223.42.135 (talk) 04:19, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:ROCVisafree.png
Hello Jjhcap99: Thanks for your quick modification. Anyway, after checking the link:http://www.boca.gov.tw/ct.asp?xItem=1335&ctNode=39&mp=1, I still found the following countries' visa policies differ from the ROCVisafree.png and this may need your modification. Visa free or visa on arrival: Bahrain, Jamaica(do not need other travel document). Besides, many African countries ceased to give ROC passport holders visa-free or visa-on-arrival since November 2003 when "Taiwan" was added on the passport cover. They include: Benin, Cape Verde, Djibouti, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo and Zambia. I have updated the article as appropriate. Thank you for your effort and please update the ROCVisafree.png as appropriate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.223.49.24 (talk) 16:12, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
