The Jiusan Society (simplified Chinese: 九三学社; traditional Chinese: 九三學社; pinyin: Jǐusān Xuéshè) is one of the eight legally-recognised political parties in the People's Republic of China that follow the direction of the Communist Party of China and are members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Transalation of Chinese entry on this topic:

Jiusan (September Third) Society

One of the democratic parties of the People's Republic of China. Named to commemorate victory on September 3, 1945 of the Sino-Japanese War and the international antifascist war. Its mission statement is to "lead the nation to power and the people to prosperity," but this must be subordinate to the national interest. The Jiusan Society has a membership of over 68,000 members, mostly high- and medium level intellectuals in the fields of science, technology, education, culture and medicine. The presidency of the Jiusan Society has successively been held by: Xu Dehang (许德珩) Zhou Peiyuan (周培源) and Wu Jieping (吴阶平). The incumbent President is Han Qide (韩启德).
