[edit] Sorting remark incorrect

Removed from the article:

Japanese software typically uses the order of JIS X 0208 to sort kanji for display to the user. This is essentially the same as the order of characters by radical and stroke count used in a kanji dictionary.

For the most commonly used characters this is not true, because they are sorted by on-reading. That's why the set starts with 亜 (a) which is then followed by 唖 (a) until it reaches 哀 (ai) and so on until 杏 (an) is followed by 以 (i), while 一 (ichi) is located between 磯 (iso - which appears to be a kun-reading...) and 壱 (also ichi - alternative for 一 in legal documents; much harder to add a stroke or two this way). [edit] A list?

I've found several discussions online containing (partial) lists of yūreimoji, but does anyone have anything that can be used as a sufficiently reliable citation to include such a list in the article? Shinobu 12:22, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
