The Jakarta International Summer Music Festival (JISMF) brings talented young musicians, music teachers together with internationally-known visiting artists and educators for two weeks of intense and joyous concentration on the art and craft of making great music. The Festival offers young musicians a unique opportunity to study with great teachers in a nurturing, creative environment. Inspired both by private study and the performances of outstanding artists, and encouraged to constant development by immersion in a dedicated musical community, students learn to see practicing and performance in a new light. Afterward, Festival participants carry away with them memories of a unique experience they will treasure for a lifetime.
