Jinping 2 Hydropower Station (Chinese: 锦屏二级水电站) is a large dam on the Yalong River, a tributary of the Yangtze River in Sichuan Province Southwest of China.
It has 8 generators, each with generating capacity of 600 MW. The total generating capacity of the project is 4,800 MW.
Construction started on January 30 2007 and is going to complete on 2014. [1]
