User talk:Jimbojw

Dear User:DragonflySixtyseven,
I have been blocked for the following reason: "Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it is either inappropriate or too similar to an existing username."
In reading Wikipedia:Username I noted that it states: "The best username is typically either your real name, or a longstanding Internet pen name."
Though Jimbojw clearly isn't my real name, it is a longstanding pen name. I've been using this moniker across the internet webscape for years as exampled by these pages:
- IRiver MP3 Player Message board: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=8;action=printpage;threadid=22037
- Reader's Digest Community Message board: http://communitytalk.rd.com/webx?50@147.9UhXafGqwrk.0@.efeb84c
- Short-Media Forum (a computer hardware review site): http://www.short-media.com/forum/member.php?u=176
- Dev-shed Forums: http://forums.devshed.com/member.php?userid=28701
Also, though I'm not using it currently, I've registered the jimbojw.com domain. I feel I've been unfairly blocked and I'd like my userid to be reinstated. Thanks in advance.

[edit] Ah
Sorry - we get a lot of vandals who try to impersonate Wikipedia founder Jimbo Wales; as such, the string "Jimbo" is redflagged.
You can see how "Jimbo W" is even more suspicious.
I'll get right on that. DS 22:04, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] No Worries
Yeah, I hadn't even thought of that :( I'd have done the same thing and I can see how that probably happens a lot. Thanks for taking the time to read my plee! I appreciate your understanding.
I'll be sure to put something to the effect that I'm not him on my user-page and signature. Thanks!
