[edit] License tagging for Image:Judith-novel.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Judith-novel.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:08, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:BrianC.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:BrianC.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:11, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Front Cover Image-2nd Edition-2b.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:31, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Brian - RTE Still (Original 1962) Low Res.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Brian - RTE Still (Original 1962) Low Res.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 10:00, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] University College, Oxford

Hi there, I saw you ignored my edit comment regarding a revert of a previous edit made to this article. The notable alumni list is growing into an example farm. Actually, it already is one. I've not reverted your new addition to this list, but have instead raised the issue on the article talk page. I'm sure it wasn't your intent to edit war, but it might have been better to have opened discussions on the talk page yourself before adding another name to the list after seeing the edit summary. In any case, I've tagged the article section as an example farm and have raised a discussion on the talk page if you'd like to join in! ColdmachineTalk 21:29, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I have undone that last addition to the list. No edit war intended! Good luck with cleaning up the article. Jim Bruce 12:14, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Luke Kelly & Deirdre O'Connell

Are you a fan of Luke Kelly and Deirdre O'Connell? I saw you made some edits on both of their pages. (Red4tribe (talk) 04:49, 23 April 2008 (UTC))

Yes, I'm a fan of Luke Kelly for many years. My interest in Deirdre O'Connell comes from my admiration for one of her first students, the actor Tom Hickey. Although Luke is rightly acknowledged in Ireland for his tremendous contribution to music here, Deirdre is less well remembered and that is why I created the Wikipedia article. Jim Bruce (talk) 13:08, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

They are actually my Aunt and Uncle,I do not remember Luke Kelly so well because he died when I was very young but I do remember Deirdre O'Connell quite well. (Red4tribe (talk) 18:06, 23 April 2008 (UTC))

I am sure you are very proud of both of them. They were two very gifted people. Jim Bruce (talk) 09:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
