I am James S. Robb, of Alexandria, Virginia, U.S.A. Though I now work in the field of technology and fundraising, including publishing for the web, for 11 years I was a book and magazine editor, mostly in the field of religion. I hold a B.A. in English literature from Asbury College in Kentucky. I am an energetic student of history and religion, especially the history of politics and and the politics of religion.
I researched and wrote a biography on the great American missionary to India, E. Stanley Jones, under contract to Zondervan. Before I finished polishing, that publisher dropped most of its biography contracts, so the book has not been published.
I have published many articles and monographs, including "Missions Derailed" for Good News magazine, which won best general article at the 1984 Evangelical Press Association Convention. I also wrote "Affirmative Action for Immigrants: the Entitlement Nobody Wanted," which was quoted in dozens of books and actually served as the acknowledged basis for a book published by Oxford.
I hope to participate in Wikipedia extensively; correctly obvious errors, editing for clarity, trying to remove transparently biased material. I hope to gain enough trust to work with the group and gain some respect in the community.
