[edit] Picture credit

Which series/issue #/artist did the new picture listed in the info box? Credit, please... Anthony Dean 03:44, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] First Appearance

Question. This page states that Jimmy Olsen first appeared in Action Comics #6, in 1938. However, this webblog states that Jimmy first appeared on radio BEFORE the comic series (like kryptonite), namely episode #28 (the radio show began in February 1940, and aired three times per week). Anyone can clear this up? Dyslexic agnostic 20:33, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

More here. The question is, when did Action #6 come out, and can anyone confirm that Jimmy is in it? Dyslexic agnostic 20:36, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
This website ([1]), which uses the 70s-era Superman encyclopaedia "The Great Superman Book" as a basis for most of its information, states that Jimmy's first comic appearance was in Superman #13 in November-December 1941, where he's first referred to as just "Jimmy"; his full name of Jimmy Olsen is first revealed a few issues later in Superman #15 in March-April 1942. Think the Action #6 issue is cited by some since it features an appearance of a "copy boy" that resembles the later Jimmy... Anthony Dean 00:43, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Source information for Phil Noto picture

Is there any source information (issue number, date) for the Phil Noto picture shown? Also think there should be a (clearer) picture of Jimmy in his classic bowtie look (which I guess I can scan in and upload)... Anthony Dean 12:42, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussions

  • I believe that the comic is prominent enough to deserve it's own article. The article does, however, need to be expanded. Phydend 01:16, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Promiment yes, but can it be expanded without going into a either a list of issues and topics, or a blow by blow recap of the issues? Neither of which do much to enhance the value of the article. I think that as a subsection on Jimmy, we can expand it and, if it becomes large enough, split it off from there. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 16:04, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question

Whatever happened to Jerry, Jimmy's lady friend? I remember she showed up a lot in the Ruin storyline, and got a job at the Planet. Anything happen since then? Bluecatcinema 10:31, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Umm...

  1. Superman and Jimmy smoke a joint together (Superman #420)
  2. Clark comes home and discovers Lois and Jimmy together in the shower (Can we say awwwkward??)

- is this vandalism? It's not cited and I'm not familiar with the source material so can't be sure. [[Guest9999 23:11, 15 November 2007 (UTC)]]

[edit] does that count?

under Powers, abilities, and equipment it says "A gorilla's husband" does that really count or worth mentioning?

anyways it says citation needed to heres proof in case.
