[edit] Neither here nor there

This is neither here nor there, but a few years ago there was a story about football supporters on the national BBC news. I can't remember what it was about, but it was about football supporters in general. This story was accompanied by a picture of some football supporters above and to the side of the newsreader's head. It can't possibly have been the only photo of football supporters they could find, but it was definately the funniest. It was of a section of Scotland supporters at a match, and a group of them were holding up a white sheet upon which was clearly written Jimmy Hill's A Poof. I thought I was going to pass out from laughing so much. Lianachan 14:16, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Saudi Arabia

I believe that in the mid-70s. Jimmy Hill worked in Saudia Arabia as a football consultant in order to establish a footballing infrastructure of a league and a coaching system etc. But I haven't found anything specifically about this after a quick Google search. Jooler 07:25, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pride & Prejudice?!

Was Jimmy Hill really in a version of Pride & Prejudice? I couldn't find any mention of it on his IMDB record. What he DID appear on was Monty Python, and as this is a programme familiar to Americans I'll substitute this instead of P&P.

This is a nomination for this week's football article improvement drive collaboration!

[edit] Blonde football team

I think perhaps it is worth mentioning his demise from the BBC which I think came after another of his punditry nightmares. During one of his final appearances he stated that the Romanian (i think) team would be able to see each other better because they had all had their hair dyed yellow. Presumably, their matching bright red shirts not being enough of a clue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.98.12.148 (talk) 14:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
