Talk:Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

[edit] Infobox
To update the missing data, I've used footballdatabase.com. However, contrary to what footballdatabase and other sites like yahoo sports state, I'm convinced Hasselbaink didn't play professional football in the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. This fansite and nl.wikipedia seem to back this up. Hence I removed the 1992-1996 Campomaiorense section from the infobox.
Several sites contradict Hasselbaink's amount of caps and goals as well, but I've copied footballdatabase's info, seeing how this site is used as a source for several wikipedia football players infoboxes. Someone with other numbers can always insert their statistics instead. Igorrr 17:46, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- I tend to agree with you regarding Campomaiorense. I don't have a source, but I'm sure he left Alkmaar under a cloud, which is why he played non-league football for a time. That could easily account for two years. Additionally, 31 appearances and 12 goals is a very plausible tally for a single season.
- As for international stats, I left it blank due to the conflicting sources. Soccerbase says 23 caps and 9 goals but, as you say, footballdatabase records 21 and 8. SteveO 18:25, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

- Thank you for responding. Yes, the caps/goals do vary on different sites: BBC for instance has him at 18 caps and seven goals. Until there's a credible source confirming the numbers of one of the three sites, it does seem that your option of leaving the international stats open is the most logical. [edit] Cross the Border in to Wales
Is this phrase a bit informal and does it even make sense. No9shirt (talk) 18:12, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
