[edit] ENOUGH!
Leave this man and this article alone tha vandalism and the attacks on him and his family by those associated as fans of the University of West Virginia has to stop! UkrNole 485 (talk) 05:17, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Whoa! who says that the Vandals are WVU fans. Some of the Vandalism such as remarks about "marrying his sister" are remarks typically leveled at WVU fans and WV residents, not the Other Way around. And Also, it's West Virginia University, not the University of West Virginia. Is it acceptable to Refer to FSU as the State University of Florida? or University of the State of Florida?38.118.52.129 (talk) 16:22, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WVU
According to http://tallahassee.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007712180316 he can't even talk to the school without violating his contract.. in addition he is quoted as saying he's not interested in the job. Additionally, multiple sources [1][2] have indicated he wont be going to UWV. I'm going to remove the rumor/speculation within a few days unless someone has a good reason to keep it.--Napnet (talk) 06:15, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- i went ahead and removed it since ESPN and other sources arn't even listing him as a option. Additionally other people have intereviewed for the job and Jimbo has not. His contract with FSU forbids this. --Napnet (talk) 21:12, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
I don't know who the toolbags are who keep editing this page to indicate that Fisher is the Head Coach of WVU, but he currently is not the Head Coach of WVU and wikipedia shouldn't indicate that he is. Who knows how to request protection? Jotorious (talk) 00:19, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- not sure... but this should put a stop to it... "I am a native of West Virginia and love the state but I want to make clear that I am staying at Florida State. I am committed to this university, this program and these players. I am excited about where I am and where Seminole football is headed."[3] --Napnet (talk) 03:46, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
How could he be excited considering they looked as awful as usual ever since Chris Rix started in 2001 and showed absolutely no signs of improvement this year over last? Worse, he hasn't said that he recognizes that there is a big problem and wants to do something about it. It's just the same denial that the last group of coaches kept showing. I know Mickey Andrews caught that "sickness" as well this year which is really shocking. I would never say anything on the main page or vandalize it but here I have no problem stating the obvious: why is FSU naming someone who hasn't shown anything yet at this school as the head coach successor? It sucks that losses to Florida and probably Miami is going to become an annual event. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.18.7.246 (talk) 03:03, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
