When I found this article, it was tagged with {{importance}}, and more importantly, copied nearly verbatim from the Boing Boing article it cites, with sprinklings from Reekes's personal site/resume. While I think we could debate the importance of Reekes beyond "sosumi" (which this article, even now, largely overlaps with), I think his part in that story, as well as in designing Sound Manager and creating the startup sound, are notable enough. But we can discuss if need be.

Other thing was the copyvio. The article wasn't a direct copy-paste job, but a quick comparison revealed it was unacceptable. I tried to rewrite as best I could from what I could find, and I think this should cover it decently well. If I missed anything, please adjust or remove. --SuperNova |T|C| 05:33, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

I think that you did a good job with the rewrite. I'd be okay with a distinct Reekes article if there was something to say. But right now only the first sentence is distinct from Sosumi. --JGGardiner 20:06, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
