Talk:Jim McIngvale
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Article has been entered and edited by only one Wikipedian, who uses a great deal of invective when describing the subject.Article may have been written in jest. Seems to editorialize rather than accurately describe subject or subject's activities. Makes several implied assertions about subject's character and acts (specifically that the subject is known for making bribes), then claims subject admits these allegations, but does so without any formal quotes, links or documentation. Some article items are known and reported by local media in subject's hometown: namely, the subject's frequenting of public schools as a motivational speaker. Claims about Gallery Furniture being largest in the country may be accurate, but probably need to be verified in light of other comments within the article.
I can find no corroboration for the substance abuse claims in this article. Should that section be removed?

[edit] additional information and citation
While in the Houston area Mac's philanthropy is will known, it will be difficult to cite as few things are mentioned. His donating several rooms of furniture for several families over the past couple of weeks aren't even cited anywhere that I can find. I won't revert the editing, but if you can cite his book or something, then I would suggest that you do before someone else does. Also, let's keep his awards and philanthropy in an easy and organized manner. --Hourick (talk) 22:04, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
