Muppet Babies is not a spinoff from The Muppet Show; the Muppets existed in multiple media before that show. (It is based on The Muppets Take Manhattan, though, since that is where the idea of baby Muppets originated.) —tregoweth 23:17, Apr 11, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Good candidate for rewrite?

This article is terrible. I've seen similar cases where an editor has pretty much blanked the article and allowed it to get rebuilt. Is such a thing called for here, at least in some sections? It seems it's been taken over by pranksters and people with dry senses of humor. For instance:

The Baby Gonzo character strikes an ambiguous if not enigmatic chord with many viewers, amongst whom questions of his nature are a topic of considerable debate. Although he has usually been classified as a "whatever", characters in this series referred to Gonzo as being a "weirdo", as if it were a sort of creature as much as it referred to his behavior. (The movie Muppets from Space delves more deeply into the matter). In one episode, he temporarily believes he is an anteater. Muppet scholarship is generally silent on this issue.

I hate to point out the problem without doing anything about it...Maybe I will come back when I have some more time. Thousandrobots (talk) 03:05, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Purported Scientology influence

Not sure if it appropriate for inclusion, but there is an interview that purports to point out that at least one episode is based on one of L. Ron Hubbard's theories wrt. Scientology and thought.

  • One of the main writers, Jeffrey Scott, is a Scientologist, so it's plausible. tregoweth 06:43, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

A "belief"? Are Study Tech and everything else LRH imparted beyond the core teachings of Scientology considered beliefs? CocaCola58204 05:20 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Muppetbabies2.jpg

Image:Muppetbabies2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Baby Gonzo voice actress was Russi Taylor not [Laurie O'Brien]] she only voiced Baby Piggy I mean sure Brien sounded like Gonzo in Close Encounters of the Frog Kind but still Ms. O'Brien was not Gonzo the Great Matthew Cantrell (talk) 03:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
