[edit] Jim Fixx comments about article

I have made changes to this article in an attempt maintain the wiki type of format. I am still working on it and welcome any help. References need to be added to the body of the text. KarateLadyKarateLady 15:16, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Supposed Dangers of Running Citations

Someone wanted a citation for the following quotation:

"However, he is also regularly cited as an example of the possible dangers of exercise."

When I did an internet search to try to provide citations, I was shocked to find a plethora of COUNTER-indications. That is--the idea that running is healthy and that it's not really why Fixx died is the repetitive message. I'd suggest removing the quotation. 206.124.31.24 01:52, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia - Bill Hicks Reference

The song title mentioned by the Australian band is more or less a direct quote from Bill Hicks's material, I can only guess that the song has more to do with Bill than Jim, not that I suggest removing it, it just struck me as suggesting that this band was a fan of Jim Fixx.

[edit] Removed References

I have removed the following "references". They are a) not referenced in the article b)do not add any value or information and c) in the case of the latter two seem like link spam. Anyone with another opinion, please state so and re-include the links. BjornVDM 18:04, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
