[edit] Justification of Article's Contents
I invite 123.2.70.169 to justify the overly biased contents of this article here. The article does not comply with the NPOV policy here at Wiki and contains many superfluous, uncited, and completely unnecessary statements. Aside from this, Jim Callahan is only known for his appearance on the NBC show Phenomenon and the subsequent conflict with Criss Angel. I fail to see how this warrants his own article, but that's another matter.
Much of the information in this article has very, very little to do with what Callahan is notable for (most important of which is his "Early life" section). Callahan is not a notable media figure in any way, I'm afraid, and simply does not warrant his own article--especially one so fraught with un-cited claims and overly stated feats that are being misrepresented to the umpteenth degree. Worst of all, almost all of the information here (particularly the ones involving conflicts) are taken from Callahan's own personal website. This is clearly far from a neutral source and should be eliminated immediately. This includes his "challenge" to James Randi, which is completely irrelevant. Callahan isn't the first to attempt to claim the $1,000,000 prize through manipulating the guidelines (read: making it possible to 'cheat') and certainly won't be the last. On top of that, this section is clearly written from a pro-Callahan point of view and simply doesn't properly meet Wikipedia's neutrality policy.
I humbly request that the contents of this article be justified. Thank you. 76.123.247.182 (talk) 09:22, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Dark Truth
Jim IS working on tv show called the dark truth. He says so in this post on a magic forum, http://themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=236290&forum=15&start=60 I tried to add it as a ref but it kept being deleted by a bot for "trying to post email addresses or phone numbers"
Also, look at his signature, "Coming soon - The Dark Truth" http://themagiccafe.com/forums/bb_profile.php?mode=view&user=24412

Jim Callahan confirmed The Dark Truth TV show on this post made on Jan 6, 2008 3:54pm
Jim-Callahan: "Al,
I am not sure one could come up with a magic bullet type of format that would push or help all types of mystery entertainment. But I do think that movies and plays that show us in a good way are extremely beneficial in improving the perception of the art. More importantly mystery entertainers as a whole need to change their perceptions of what they do and how they do in my opinion.
How would all of you effectively convey to the home audience how your live audience reacts to you? And the more difficult task how to get those viewers to react and get involved as they would when watching a movie or sporting event.
I have some very good ideas on how to better present this type of entertainment in a more compelling way. In fact most of it has to do with creating product that works in many different mediums and levels.
Hopefully my pilot/test/protype production will start next month. We are currently working on the opening graffics/music/scripting. The show will have heavy web interactivity. Something I think is very important in todays world and we have come up with a very unique idea that will involve YouTube. I am currently working on some content for the website that will address my ongoing conflict with Angel and his minions. (I will post a link when it is complete)
The television/internet/live show project is titled, The Dark Truth it will probably be quite upsetting to some people.
We are also working on a rather unique distribution concept in addition to TV.
I would also like to say sorry for letting this thread linger in the corner of the Café' for so long. Just been a bit busy with other things.
I will go back a few pages and answer the questions not yet addressed and move to the present.
Thanks,
Jim

[edit] "He has been called..."?
The entry reads "He has been called 'The world's most controversial Mystery Entertainer.'" Called by whom? When? Where? This sort of statement is worthless. I have been called the world's smartest man. True, I called myself that, but nevertheless, I have been called it. By myself. See how ludicrous such statements are? Reference this claim or remove it. Agreed. There are many issues with this page, but this is certainly one of the more prominent. I've removed it. 76.123.247.182 (talk) 15:15, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
