James Hamilton "Jimmy" Speirs (22 March 1886 — 10 August 1917) was a Scottish football player. He was Bradford City's captain and goalscorer in the 1911 FA Cup Final. As a player he played for Rangers and Clyde, Bradford City and Leeds City. He also won a Scottish cap on 7 March 1908 against Wales.
At the outbreak of the First World War, Jimmy returned to his native Glasgow and enlisted in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in May 1917 and promoted to sergeant, but was killed during the Battle of Passchendaele.[1]
