Jimmy Allen Oliver (born July 12, 1969 in Menifee, Arkansas) is an American professional basketball player who was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2nd round (39th overall) of the 1991 NBA Draft.
A 6'5" guard-forward from Purdue University, Oliver played five seasons in the NBA for five different teams. His best year as a pro came during the 1993-94 NBA season as a member of the Boston Celtics, appearing in 44 games (6 starts) and averaging 4.9 ppg. In his NBA career, Oliver played in 78 games and scored a total of 331 points.
Jimmy Oliver played for the greek club Maroussi Athens and he won the Saporta Cup in 2001. He scored 31 points in the final match against Chalon BC.[1]
He played for the US national team in the 1998 FIBA World Championship, winning the bronze medal.[2] Jimmy Oliver was the top scorer of the team averaging 11,8 points per game.[3]
