Jimmy Greenspoon

Jimmy Greenspoon (born February 7, 1948, in Los Angeles, California) is an American keyboard player, best known as a member of the band, Three Dog Night. He currently lives in Montgomery County, MD.

In the 1960s Greenspoon played in several local bands, including The New Dimensions. In 1968 he met a trio of vocalists (Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron, and Cory Wells) who had a contract with Dunhill Records and were looking for backing musicians. Greenspoon joined their new band Three Dog Night, which became a huge commercial success in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Greenspoon helped re-launch Three Dog Night in the mid 1980s. In 1991 Greenspoon co-authored (with Mark Bego) a book about the band entitled One Is the Loneliest Number: On the Road and Behind the Scenes With the Legendary Rock Band Three Dog Night.

As of 2007 he continues to tour with the band.
