Jimmy Devins

Jimmy Devins (Irish: Séamus Ó Daimhín; born 1948) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He is a Teachta Dála (TD) for the constituency of Sligo-North Leitrim. Devins was first elected to Dáil Éireann in the 2002 general election for the constituency of Sligo-Leitrim.
In June 2007, he was appointed as Minister of State with special responsibility for Disability Issues and Mental Health. On 13 May 2008, shortly after Brian Cowen became Taoiseach, he was appointed as Minister of State at the Department of Education and Science and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with special responsibility for Science, Technology and Innovation.
