Jamshid "Jimmy" Delshad (Persian: جیمی دلشاد) is an Iranian-American politician from the state of California. On March 21, 2007 he was elected as Mayor of Beverly Hills, California [2]. Upon election, Delshad became the first Iranian-American to ever hold public office in Beverly Hills and the first person born in a Muslim country to hold major political position in the United States. He is an alumnus of California State University, Northridge.
