Jimmie Åkesson

Per Jimmie Åkesson (born 17 May, 1979, Valje, Scania) is the leader of Swedish nationalist political party, the Sweden Democrats (Swedish: Sverigedemokraterna). He assumed his position in 2005, following his defeat of former leader Mikael Jansson. Åkesson holds public office as a councilman in Sölvesborg since 1998.
