Jim Walker (né James Donat Walker) (born 1955 in Edmonton) was the original drummer of Public Image Ltd. in 1978.
In 1977 he played drums for Canadian punk band The Furies and moved to London in October 1977. In early May 1978 he joined Johnny Rotten in his new band Public Image Ltd., but left in early February 1979. During this time he earned the nickname "Donut", due to his middle-name of French origin.
1979/80 he played drums in Kirk Brandon's first band The Pack, then 1980-82 in The Straps. In 1983, after guesting on the Snake Charmer album by Jah Wobble, Holger Czukay and The Edge, he quit playing drums.
Today he lives in North London and directs videos and television adverts. In 2005 he directed his first movie "Parkside Hell House" under the alias of James White.
"Donut" is not to be confused with voice actor Jim Walker, who voices Fox McCloud in the game Star Fox: Assault.
