Jim Threapleton

James "Jim" Threapleton (born 1974, Yorkshire, England). Threapleton has worked as an assistant director on many films, including Hideous Kinky.

He and Kate Winslet, whom he met on the set of Hideous Kinky, married on November 22, 1998 in Reading, Berkshire, Winslet's hometown. They had a daughter, Mia Honey Threapleton, on October 12, 2000 in London. However, the two separated in September 2001 and divorced on December 13, 2001.

He has just completed work on his first feature film as director and writer Extraordinary Rendition which will premier at festivals in summer 2007.
