[edit] Pro career

Jim Sorgi was drafted in the sixth round in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, Sorgi has proved to be an adequate backup to star QB Peyton Manning. While Manning gets the lion's share of the playing time, in his first season, Sorgi found some decent playing time against the Denver Broncos in which he threw for 175 yards and 1 TD. In the 2004 NFL season, Jim Sorgi completed 17 of the 29 balls thrown for 175 yards. In the 2005 NFL season, he gained slightly more playing time, completing 42 of 61 attempts for 444 yards. The bulk of his playing time in 2005 came in the game against the Seattle Seahawks at the end of the regular season when he played for most of the game.

As of the end of the 2007 regular season, he has six career touchdown passes and one interception.
