James M. Pyne (born November 23, 1971 in Milford, Massachusetts) is a former offensive lineman for several teams in the National Football League after a successful college football career as a Virginia Tech Hokie.

Pyne attended Virginia Tech and was selected as a unanimous All-American and also awarded the Dudley Award, which is given to the Commonwealth of Virginia's Outstanding Player of the Year. Virginia Tech retired his number (#73); it is one of only four football numbers retired by the school.

Pyne joined the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played three of his seven professional seasons with the team. Became the first overall pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 1999 expansion draft.

Pyne's father, George, Jr. played for the Boston Patriots of the AFL in 1965. Pyne's grandfather, George Sr. played for the Providence Steam Roller of the NFL in 1931.

Today, Pyne is married and lives in Cleveland, Ohio, and works as a football analyst for ESPN 850 WKNR.
