James 'Jim' Archibald Platt (born January 26, 1952 in Ballymoney) is a former goalkeeper who played for Northern Ireland. During his career, 'Jim' won 23 caps for Northern Ireland, an amount largely restricted due to the presence of Pat Jennings in the side. At club level, Platt played for clubs such as Middlesbrough, Hartlepool United, Cardiff City and Ballymena United. After being a player manager of Coleraine, he managed Ballymena United and moved over to the North East of England to manage Darlington taking them to the play-offs for Division Three.
