James Lee Paterson known in football as Jim (born September 25, 1979 in Bellshill) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for English Championship club Plymouth Argyle. He plays on the left side of defence or midfield.
He previously played for Dundee United before moving to Motherwell in 2004. During his career at Dundee United he was unfortunate to break his leg twice in as many years.[1][2].
On 31st January 2008]], Paterson moved to Plymouth Argyle on a three and a half year deal for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £250,000.[3]
He scored his first goal for Argyle with an effort from the edge of the box against Southampton on 19th February 2008.
